Boost the health of your landscape with aerated compost tea
What is Compost Tea?
Compost Tea is a powerful, living liquid solution made by steeping compost in water. The addition of oxygen through aeration further encourages the growth of beneficial aerobic microorganisms, which are crucial for plant and soil health.
Applied using 200 gallon sprayers to your entire landscape, we empower homeowners to stop using harmful chemical fertilizers and instead build living microbes in the soil. This helps your plants get the nutrients they need right out of the earth.
We service Metro L.A. with some exceptions—please reach out if you have questions.

Bio Soil Penetrant
Yucca Wet
A natural surfactant made from the extract of yucca plants, it helps the compost tea enter the soil more easily and efficiently in compact and/or hydrophobic soils. This is great if you notice water pooling or sitting on top of your soil after watering/rain. -
Bio Till
Jadam Microbial Solution
An anaerobic soil amendment made from potatoes, our homemade JMS is used to biologically “till” the soil to break up deep compaction and improve soil structure.
*Used in moderation, specially cultured anaerobes can greatly benefit the soil and are not harmful to plants as the anaerobes naturally occupy deeper, lower-oxygen areas of the soil where plant roots are not found. -
Bio Inoculant
Effective Microorganisms-1
A naturally cultured soil inoculant (often made from rice water), EM-1 is composed of a variety of yeast, lactic acid bacteria, and phototrophic bacteria strains that perform beneficial interactions with plants and add an extra boost of microbial diversity to your soil/landscape. -
Bio Pest Control
Beneficial Nematodes
Parasitic nematodes can be added to the soil to control a wide range of pests. We use the Heterorhabditis bacteriophora (Hb) and Steinernema carpocapsae (Sc) species to target common soil-borne pests, including the larval stages of many beetles, flies, and moths.
*The nematodes we use are not harmful to humans, pets, plants, or any other beneficials.

Compost tea is a powerful, living liquid solution made by steeping compost in water. Compost tea is an effective tool used in biological growing methods to establish and bolster strong populations of beneficial microbes.

Compost tea is NOT fertilizer.
Fertilizer is made up of 3 macronutrients - Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. In addition to these three macronutrients, trees and other plants need plenty of micronutrients like Iron and Manganese. Most importantly, they need organic matter (compost) and it needs to be continuously replenished in soil to have a good soil structure and soil biology. By spraying compost tea, we are inviting all the beneficial microbes that assist in nutrient absorption for your plants. When soil is depleted, it does not hold moisture well and plants can’t absorb the nutrients they need to thrive. Soil that has gone without consistent organic matter becomes void of life. Fertilizer does not replenish the soil with organic matter but rather gives it a bit of a temporary boost that wears off.

We spray your whole landscape, which means we spray the entire plant canopy (or as much as is accessible) and drench the soil. Our compost tea is odorless and does not leave residue or stains on hard-scapes.y

You can spray compost tea any time of year!
Compost tea boosts and maintains soil health. If your landscape has pest, water, or other health issues, these will be improved by boosting soil health. If your landscape doesn't have specific health issues, spraying compost tea 1-2 times per year is a proactive measure to maintain the health of your plants.
Compost tea sprays are especially beneficial if done prior to planting because healthier soil is better able to support new life. We highly recommend using compost tea to prime soil prior to planting for larger landscape projects. (Landscapers we work with LOVE this stuff.)

This depends on the health of your landscape. If you have issues to address (pests, molds/fungus, poor water absorption, etc.) we suggest spraying 2-4 times per year for 1 year, or until things improve.
If your landscape is in good health, we suggest spraying 1-2 times per year for general maintenance.
Compost tea is like giving your landscape a dose of probiotics. The more beneficial microbes in the soil, the better.
